Hi, friend. If you're new here, I'm Cailyn and I'm a branding, wedding, and lifestyle photographer serving Wilmington, North Carolina and beyond. I've been on this journey with my camera for over five years now and I've captured it all, but couples + business owners are by far my favorite. I just got married in May 2019 and I recently went full time with my business in 2021 - so I know the special moments and the hardships that these seasons of life hold. When I say I want you to feel joy on your wedding day, it's not just because I want to get good pictures. It's because I genuinely want you to ENJOY your day and remember it with the biggest smile! And when I say I want business owners to feel confident in their brand images, it's because I spent too many years not feeling confident myself.

My style can be described as bright, bold, colorful, and most importantly - timeless.
There are lots of trends out there when it comes to editing styles, and I pride myself on editing in a way that is true to life and true to you.
On the other hand, my posing style is a hybrid of curation and candidness. If you're camera shy, don't worry - I'll prompt you into comfortable, flattering poses. If you love being in front of the camera - even better! I'll still help guide you and you can feel free to be yourself, too. I love to capitalize on spontaneity, the in-between moments, and the reality of life.. which is far from perfect.
I'm a strong Enneagram 4 and visionary, so don't be surprised if I go all out with a mood board for your session. I'm not into stiff, posey-rosey shots.. so half the time I won't even have you looking at my camera. If this sounds like the kind of photographer you're looking for.. let's chat!

This job brings me great joy - and I firmly believe in a God who delights in our joy. And on top of that, I love serving others. I've blotted sweat from brides faces in the sweltering heat of their wedding day, I've held umbrellas over their head while they walk through the rain from their car to the chapel, I've even climbed under dresses to retrieve pesky spiders who wanted to find a new home in crinoline. If you hire me to shoot your wedding - yes, you will get great photos - but you will also get someone who is passionate about your love story and making sure you slow down and enjoy it for all that it holds.

my why for serving business owners? It's simple... I know what it's like to be one.
After the craziness that engulfed the wedding industry in 2020, I felt myself missing community more than anything else. I wanted to find a way to use my gifts to serve others who are doing their best to navigate the obstacles of living a full life and owning a business. And what better way to do that than with my camera? My VIP branding experience is a full service, one-stop-shop for the women who might have one too many balls up in the air and need a simple, streamlined solution to showing their face on the 'gram or on their website.
