Josh + Julie // Raleigh, NC
Okay, so.. these two aren’t actually clients of mine, but on the rare occasion that they’re back in Raleigh- it must be documented. And I’ve been itching to get them in front of my camera ever since they got engaged! So what better time to do that than the last full weekend of summer?!
Josh and Julie technically met in high school, but they reconnected a few years later in college, about 2 days before Julie left for Italy to study abroad. Josh had recently moved to Durham to play baseball and knew Julie went to Meredith, about 20 minutes away. He wanted to know more about the area and I think he also may have had a crush. So, long story short – they met up one night for dinner (Josh thought it was a date, Julie thought they were just old friends catching up) and Julie told Josh that she would be leaving for Italy in a couple days. Josh was shocked, but that didn’t stop him from pursuing her. They texted for weeks on end, even after Julie went abroad.. and they quickly started to develop feelings for each other – from a whole ocean away! They continued dating after Julie came back and it was clear that it was meant to be all along. It’s still one of my favorite love stories of all time, and I’m so glad these two found each other. <3
