This sweet Winston-Salem bride-to-be found me through a referral from another one of my brides, and that makes me giddy. I put a lot of time and effort into marketing online but getting a lead through Instagram somehow isn’t as exciting as when someone tells you, “hey, my friend [such and such] told me about you and how much they loved your work!” If you can picture Baby Yoda’s sad face looking at a phone screen, that’s me when I read one of those messages. Downright happy tears!
This couple is on the quieter, down to earth side – and I love how that shows in their photos. Their love is quiet, sweet, and meaningful. They fought hard for their story and it shows!
We shot their engagement session in a place called Old Salem in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, which is basically a mix of the towns Sabrina the Teenage Witch and the Gilmore Girls live in – if I had to describe it. It was the cutest! And I would hands down make road trips to shoot more engagement sessions there.
